So. . . I was "planning" on traveling for business this week to see some customers out of town. So I head out to the airport and it begins to snow. Yes. Snow in Las Vegas.

I really should have recognized that it was in fact the Apocalypse, and that the world was ending, but I decided to hang at the airport and wait for my flight with about 8,000 of my closest friends.

Naturally i never got out, but I did get back in time to shoot a few neat photos for all of you to enjoy. The snow in my neighborhood (Henderson Nevada) made national news. The National Weather Service called for 3-6 inches of snow on the "valley floor" (which is about 1200 feet below my house). I wound up getting a total of 5 inches of snow at my house.

This first image i shot out my truck window because the snow on the palm trees looked completely cool.

This next picture is a shot from my front porch after the snow started to subside. It was shot late in the evening. The tree in my yard that is leaning from the snow is likely permanently damaged. I cleared the snow (again) after this shot, but the weight of it really took its toll on the tree.

The next shot is my neighbor's Mesquite Tree. It was about 40 feet tall until it came crashing down on my roof and my fence last night about 10:30pm. Naturally I pooped a little, but as Abso would tell you, that's gonna happen cause I'm old anyway. I'm waiting on the neighbor now to determine how we get the tree off my roof. I have a chain saw at the ready.

This is a shot taken from my driveway looking up the street. Las Vegas is about 2028 feet above sea level. My home is about 1200 feet above that, putting me within 200 feet of where the Weather folks said the heaviest local snow would hit. I just can't wait for the flooding to start.

I asked my dog Sara how she felt about all the cold and snow. her response (below) speaks for itself.

yea Kyz, I'll be on tonight. Would have been on last night had I not felt the need to hang at the airport with all my thousands of friends and wait to get my luggage back.

Domm lies, he took a trip to the Rocky Mountains, and that is clearly where he got the pictures of snow.

Both Denic and DJ are correct. The palm trees clearly give away my location as being deep in the Rocky Mountains, while the cocaine you see everywhere was due to the recent plan crash when an "undisclosed" rapper's plane went down near my house.

Here's a shot from this morning looking at the foothills by my house. I've never seen this much cocaine in my life.

Here's a shot from the street in front of my house taken while looking east. Its gonna take a shit load of baggies to get all this cleaned up.

Naturally it's all melting now so let the flooding begin!
